INSURANCE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT
Our global insurance client is seeking a hands-on Product Development Consultant to help strengthen product governance, support regulatory and filing activities, and drive cross-functional product initiatives. This individual will play a key role in stabilizing the product function, improving accountability, and advancing strategic product and pricing initiatives within a fast-paced insurance environment.
Responsibilities
- Support product development activities, including coverage forms, endorsements, product documentation, and product lifecycle management.
- Provide regulatory filing and compliance support, including state filing requirements and issue resolution.
- Lead and coordinate initiatives across underwriting, operations, compliance, and technology teams.
- Drive execution of product-related projects, ensuring accountability and timely delivery.
- Conduct competitive and market analysis to identify product enhancements and growth opportunities.
- Assist with pricing and rate strategy initiatives and related implementation efforts.
- Help establish stronger product governance, processes, and decision-making frameworks.
Requirements
- Experience in Property & Casualty insurance, preferably in product development, underwriting, claims, or product analysis.
- Strong understanding of insurance products, coverage forms, endorsements, and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with state filing processes; SERFF experience preferred.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and navigate ambiguity.
- Strong execution, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to balance strategic improvements with day-to-day issue resolution.
