Position Characteristics:
Provides overall planning and direction of all engineering functions, document control and personnel for the Division in accordance with company policy
Reviews, approves and implements all engineering standards, policies and procedures
Provides technical engineering input for estimating and bid proposal requirements
Directs and monitors all personnel activities within engineering area including manpower forecasting, hiring, promoting, terminating, appraising and assigning
Provides interpretation of all external codes, regulations, specifications and the like
Ensures required certificates, permits, stamps, etc. are secured and maintained as required
Plans and formulates engineering program and organizes project staff according to project requirements
Directly communicates with Sales Engineers, customers (as needed), and project management team
Directs and promotes prefabrication in design
Assigns project personnel to specific phases or aspects of projects such as technical studies, design, preparation of specifications and technical plans
Reviews plans for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirement and related specifications
Directs integration of new technology technical activities to integrate design drawings into augmented and virtual reality construction
Plans and establishes engineering schedules and follows up performance against estimates
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related
5 + years of experience
Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity.
Ability to travel 25-50% as needed
