This position within Identity and Access Management (IAM) will work with peer IAM engineers and architects producing technical solutions supporting broader IAM and Global Information Security (GIS). This is an architecture role coordinating with product, development and operations teams ensuring designs and technical direction support key business goals through a hands-on approach.
This role establishes and maintains technology standards, evaluates new technologies and designs to enable business goals in the most economical, scalable, and supportable way for The Walt Disney Company. This individual is required to demonstrate sound technical architectural leadership, excellent relationship skills, and will be playing a vital role in identity platforms that use a variety of both internally developed and vendor services. Specifically, this role will drive understanding of our IAM systems and data. Performing analysis of IAM data and connections across the team and helping curate the go-forward IAM platform for teams to deliver. This is a highly hands-on role requiring strong communication and motivation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Experience working cross-team in enterprise-wide Identity and Access Management environments
  • Knowledge of specific vendor platforms such as Okta, SailPoint, Crowdstrike, Active Directory
  • Experience in the Microsoft identity stack including Entra ID, Active Directory
  • Possess a strong knowledge of IAM systems and technologies including identity providers, identity governance systems, and authorization systems including knowledge of established and emerging standards such as SAML, OIDC, Shared Signals Framework.
  • Drives technical designs to consensus and approval. Designs solutions for specific use cases that provide frameworks,
    interfaces and services that can be extended and reused for future requirements.
  • Develops proof of concepts, libraries, and sample projects to demonstrate feasibility of architectural concepts.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to foster a culture of high quality engineering, leading by example for others to
    follow.
  • Excellent data analytics skills for formulating data driven decisions based on log, database, directory and API based sources

Skills Required

  • 5-7+ years of experience
  • Preference for direct IAM experience
  • Avoids over-indexing on years to prevent excluding strong candidates
  • Enterprise IAM Architecture Experience
  • Must have designed or contributed to large-scale identity platforms
  • Not just tool exposure-requires end-to-end system thinking
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • Critical gap on current team
  • Role will help bring structure and clarity to processes
  • IAM Tooling & Ecosystem Experience
  • Familiarity with:
  • Identity standards: SAML, OIDC, Shared Signals Framework
  • Tools/platforms: Okta, SailPoint, Active Directory, CrowdStrike
  • AWS/cloud exposure (preferred)
  • Work across teams
  • Facilitate discussions and decisions
  • Communicate designs across the enterprise
  • Expected to act as a collaborative thought partner, not just an executor

Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
