Lucas Group have partnered with a mechanical/plumbing building design firm in the north metro Atlanta, GA area for an HVAC designer/drafter to work on designs, preparing plans and specifications for new and renovated buildings. The firm’s projects include municipal, education, medical/dental office, and religious facilities.

This is a 6 month contract to possibility direct for the right candidate.

Design duties include:

  • Performing heating/cooling load calculations and selecting/sizing HVAC equipment.
  • Sizing ductwork and piping, including hydronic systems and components.
  • Producing BIM models using revit and autocad
  • Producing specifications for publication.

Required job qualifications include:

  • Minimum of three years of experience as an HVAC designer.
  • Proficient AutoCAD and knowledge of revit is a plus
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
  • A high level of understanding of the construction process of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and architectural systems.
