Role Overview: Our client in the IT space is looking for a Human Resources Generalist - you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. Areas of focus will include payroll, 401(k) administration, recruitment, benefits coordination, and multi-state employment law compliance.
You will also be responsible for providing guidance, strategy, and tactics that help drive and build the organization’s culture. This will include policy and procedure implementation, partnering with the leadership team on employee issues and engagement, and some office management duties.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and executive human resource programs to include benefits, employee relations, performance and talent management, training, compliance, and payroll.
- Oversees the company’s recruitment, interview, selection, and hiring processes.
- Administers and processes payroll via third party processor.
- Liaisons with third party benefits provider.
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures the organization's compliance as a multi-state employer.
- Consults with legal counsel as appropriate on personnel matters.
- Works directly with managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.
- Recommends, evaluates, and participates in staff development for the organization.
- Develops and maintains a human resource information system that meets the organization's personnel information needs.
- Participate in projects as necessary.
- Responsible for office management duties to include coordination of vendors, placing supply orders, restocking conference rooms and fridges, and coordination of office guests.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.
- 3+ years of equivalent experience in Human Resources required.
- In-depth knowledge of Human Resources operations and legal regulations in a multi-state employer.
- 1+ years of payroll experience required.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience in all aspects of Human Resources management.
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills, including strong teambuilding skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational abilities.
- Ability to form relationships across all levels of the company while modeling the organization’s culture and values.
