Instructional Designer
The Instructional Designer is responsible for analyzing training needs and designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating technical training programs. This role collaborates with subject matter experts to create a variety of learning solutions, including eLearning modules, instructor-led training (ILT), virtual sessions (live and on-demand), job aids, and performance support tools. The Instructional Designer also plays a key role in enhancing content development processes and ensuring training effectiveness through measurable objectives and outcome assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end training development lifecycle.
- Design impactful, learner-focused training solutions aligned with business goals.
- Develop eLearning content using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Create engaging facilitator guides, participant materials, presentations, and job aids.
- Manage multiple training projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Ensure training materials remain accurate and aligned with current practices.
- Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (ADDIE) to all training initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams, subject matter experts, and external partners to develop tailored learning experiences.
- Produce storyboards, scripts, shot lists, and other documentation to support course development.
- Design and implement online, blended, and microlearning solutions.
- Develop multimedia assets such as voiceovers, videos, simulations, role-plays, and interactive elements.
- Coordinate with LMS administrators to ensure seamless content deployment and tracking.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field; or 5–10 years of advanced eLearning design experience in lieu of a degree.
- Proven experience in instructional design and eLearning development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and training development tools.
- Strong scriptwriting and narration development skills.
- Familiarity with emerging learning technologies and trends.
- Experience with coding in eLearning tools is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing.
- Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
