Title: Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager

Location: Columbus, TX
 

Are you an experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) specialist looking for a new challenge, or stuck in your current role and in need of a step up? Then this position could be for you. The Lucas Group is currently partnered with an Oil & Gas production equipment manufacturing client with a facility in the greater West Houston area, and we are searching for an experienced HSE candidate to join their team as a HSE Manager who will be in charge of overseeing the HSE division of the company.
 

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating safety/environmental compliance and programs for manufacturing and field operations of the business. Candidates must also be willing to travel up to 50% of the time – 25% of which might be out of state.
 

Experience Requirements:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment for oil and gas production equipment
• Previous experience carrying out audits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws/regulations/rules
• Experience inspecting facilities, machinery, and equipment
• Experience conducting HSE training for employees and management
• Experience conducting Cat 4 & Cat 5 incident inspections
• Experience interpreting safety, environmental, DOT, and workers compensation regulations
• Experience working with government agencies, attorneys, clients, and consultants

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or High school degree plus eight years of directly related experience in a similar, heavy manufacturing setting where technical and supervisory experience and competence has been clearly demonstrated
