Role Overview: Lucas Group leading exclusive search for a HR Service Partner for a strong client in the food industry. This role will sit in Ontario, CA and will support a region of employees. Reporting into a Regional Director of HR, the candidate will support ~300 employees. A progressive HR candidate with about 3-5 years of generalist experience is desired. Must have good tactical focus, HRIS experience and sound ER experience. Must have CA labor and compliance experience. Union experience would be great but not necessary. Bilingual is preferred.
Role Purpose
Driving HR operations and services, as well as deployment of initiatives with best impact and results, with a focus on driving efficiency.
Key Accountabilities
- Collaboration across HR (eg, region, function, COE) to drive the standardization of HR practices and processes
- Identifies opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness, and end user experience
- Responsible for understanding the dynamics of the positive employment relationship and have the ability to interpret situations, data and environmental factors that are at risk to affect the positive employment relationship
- Training for leaders regarding issue escalation

Unique Technical Skills/Experiences
- Partnering and People Management: Ability to work in a highly matrixed, multi-site environment under high pressure and time constraints.
- Employment, Labor and Policies: Assures compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Local laws within the region. Must be experienced in managing/interpreting and coordinating activities associated with the administration of a collective bargaining agreement.
- HRIS and Technology: Must be adept / knowledgeable in managing HRIS systems and processes and equally have the skillset of compiling data sets out of those systems that can be reviewed and interpreted by regional leadership. Simplifies reports, tools and work so that the team can focus on efficient and productive work delivery.
- Positive Team Member Relations: Must be adept and experienced in understanding the dynamics of the positive employment relationship and have the ability to interpret situations, data and environmental factors that are at risk to affect the positive employment relationship. Must also be experienced and adept at interpreting & escalating issues to the proper leadership tracks for rapid intervention.
- Communication: Strong communication skills. Must have an ability to challenge where appropriate.
