Lucas Group has partnered with a leading manufacturer in their search for a HR Manager located in Greater Birmingham, AL. This is a leadership role with a focus on instilling a positive culture and employee relations throughout the facility. This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate to take the reins of a flagship facility and earn instant credibility and visibility with operational and executive leadership.

This individual will serve as the site HR expert and will partner with plant operations and executive leadership to provide hands-on support, guidance and advice in the areas of employee relations, engagement, change management, talent acquisition, policy development and compliance, coaching, talent development, performance management, and training. Relocation assistance may be provided for the right candidate.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s required; Master’s preferred
• Experience Requirements:
• 7+ years of progressive, broad-based HR management experience in a manufacturing setting
• Creative thinker with proven ability to problem solve
• HR certification(s) preferred

Responsibilities:

• Developing HR initiatives and programs and effectively driving the programs in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Coaching managers to ensure positive employee engagement, team development and organizational effectiveness
• Developing strategic partnerships with client groups to identify business needs and talent gaps
• Recruiting hourly and salaried employees
• Managing the performance review process
• Maintaining positive employee relations
