Location: Tempe, AZ

Role Overview:  Lucas Group has partnered with a leading energy company on their search for an HR Generalist located in Tempe, AZ. This is a true generalist role and exciting opportunity for the right individual in this newly created role! The HR Generalist who will provide HR support, guidance and advice on a variety of topics from Policies and Procedures to Employee Relations to HRIS systems and much more. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of employment/labor laws and regulations, have 4+ years Generalist experience within construction or power plant environments and thrive in a fast-paced environment and can be adaptable to change. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Serves as a contact and resource for employees and managers regarding HR related issues, questions, and concerns, while maintaining good working relationships and building credibility with employees.
• Create and maintain integrity of employee personnel files, retrieve and file documents
• Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures
• Work with managers to develop documentation for employee performance improvements
• Resolve employee relations issues or elevate them to the attention of management as necessary. Ensure documentation is complete.
• Assist staff with creating job descriptions for all positions
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws
• Additional projects as necessary

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 4-5 years of experience
