Lucas Group has been engaged by a manufacturing company to identify their next HR Generalist. The stand-alone HR position will be responsible for leading the HR function for the Salt Lake City plant and partnering with the senior leadership team. This role has a heavy emphasis on payroll administration with biweekly processing. The candidate must have previous payroll experience. The position will be broad based in scope with emphasis on payroll, safety, training, employee relations, compliance, employee onboarding, and benefits administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Process biweekly payroll for 200 employees in the Paycom system
  • Partners with senior leadership to roll out corporate initiatives and deal with day-to-day employee issues
  • Focus on tactical work but is able to roll out independently and autonomously
  • Strong communication skills to partner with the senior leadership team
  • Busy and fun environment, need to be able to keep up and high functioning
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and practices
  • Understanding of safety, work compensation, benefits
  • Understanding of compensation
  • Onboarding- off boarding, recruitment

Requirements:

  • Prefer Bachelor’s degree – not required
  • Payroll process – any system
  • 3-7 years’ experience HR generalist in a manufacturing company
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong communicator
