Role Overview:  Lucas Group has partnered with a leading marketing firm on their search for a HR Business Partner located Carlsbad, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with an organizational development background to be a true HR leader. The HR Business Partner will serve as a strategic partner to the business and will provide HR support, guidance and advice on all HR related issues from organizational development, talent acquisition, employee relations, workforce planning, and performance management. This individual will offer strategic support while implementing and developing HR strategies and initiatives.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Partner with key leadership to lead and promote HR initiatives and programs that align with company goals and values
• Support talent acquisition as well as support in marketing and branding
• Investigate employee issues and complaints in a timely manner and resolve issues appropriately
• Drive performance management and coach managers on appropriate goal setting, coaching and feedback leading to the annual review process
• Support contract negotiation, succession planning and a strategy partner in recruiting
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related field
• 8 - 10 years HR generalist experience
• Experience providing all functions of Human Resources as a strategic business partner to a fast-paced and growing organization
• Strong overall business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to quickly grasp business issues and understand business strategy
• Adept at working with management to influence/facilitate change, implement strategy and accomplish objectives
• Strong leadership skills, excellent communication and presentation skills
• SHRM certification preferred
