Lucas Group is partnered with a client who specializes in the engineering, construction, and services of above ground storage units both locally in the US and internationally, who is looking to bring on a hands on GM to oversee the merger and growth of two of their business units. The ideal candidate will have had previous exposure to painting and/or coatings of storage units, in addition to managing and growing P&L’s through the signing of new customer contracts and the growing of the existing customer database. This is a full-time staff opportunity with excellent benefits located in the Baytown area of Houston, TX.

 

Full understanding of budget requirements for revenue, profit, G&A costs, any overhead accounts and company requirements for EBITDA year over year is required.  Must be able to promote growth and ensure that the facilities, equipment and personnel are able to fulfill all requirements for a smooth business unit operation. This role reports to the VP of Domestic US Operations.

Key accountabilities

  • Fully understand the WIP review process, being able to pull together a quarterly forecast to each quarter allowing executive management the ability to understand future revenues and profits.
  • Handle all new tank business, painting and coating, repair and maintenance division
  • Develop Budgets for all business units considering growth, additional costs and AFE requirements
  • Understand fully all systems including estimates, job costs, job budgets, contracts, project management, and engineering requirements.

Essential experience and job requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, with tanks, construction, and/or piping.
  • 10+ years of experience leading individuals and teams with a proven track record.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master’s in business management, or other business-related field.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience, in the painting and coatings industry.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience, with tanks, construction, and/or piping.
