We are seeking a General Counsel/Chief Compliance Officer for a healthcare provider based in Brooklyn, NY. A key component of the role will be building and implementing a compliance program, so we are looking for candidates with strong healthcare regulatory/compliance experience – including HIPAA, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement requirements, federal and state fraud and abuse laws, Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, sunshine laws, etc. That said, the company is growing rapidly through acquisitions so there will be transactional and deal work as well. Some exposure to private equity would be ideal, but not required.
We are looking for a rock star. This position will not be overseeing a legal or compliance team, per se. It is very much a “roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty” kind of role. However, you will be a key part of the senior leadership team, and the ideal candidate will be able and willing to drive business strategy in conjunction with the legal and compliance functions.
