Fund Accountant (Contract)

We are partnering with a leading investment management firm to hire two Fund Accountants to support a newly launched $20B private real estate fund. These consultants will join the finance and fund operations team during a high-volume period, playing a critical role in quarter-end close, financial reporting, and fund accounting cleanup initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support quarter-end close processes for a large private real estate fund
• Assist with fund accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Perform account analysis and resolve outstanding accounting items
• Prepare and review journal entries, supporting schedules, and working papers
• Partner with finance and fund operations teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Investigate discrepancies and maintain strong financial controls
• Contribute to ad hoc accounting and operational projects as needed

Qualifications:

• 3-6 years of experience in fund accounting, private equity, or investment management accounting
• Prior experience with private funds; real estate fund experience preferred
• Strong understanding of fund accounting, financial reporting, and close processes
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
