We have partnered with our client in their search for a Full Stack Java developer in Columbus, OH.
Responsibilities
- This is brand-new development from the ground up.
- There are no existing APIs or code for this specific workstream.
- The team is currently in discovery and design, and once resources join, they'll be walked through the design and expected to start building.
- The applications will run on AWS, so they need hands-on engineers who can build backend APIs/events and support AWS-based components.
- The initial focus is on the creation side of documents, not just maintaining existing systems.
Skills Required
- Senior Java Full Stack Engineer, but heavier backend: roughly 70% backend / 30% frontend.
- Java development experience.
- Spring Boot experience.
- Kafka experience: creating, publishing, and consuming events.
- API development, including building APIs from scratch.
- AWS experience
- AWS services exposure, especially:
- Strong hands-on development ability.
- NICE TO HAVES:
- React experience for limited frontend work.
- Prior experience with document composition, statements, letters, or similar customer communications.
- Experience with greenfield / ground-up development.
- Familiarity with infrastructure provisioning or setting up AWS components
Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in experience
- Senior-level experience, ideally 7+ years.
