Lucas Group has partnered with our client, a nationwide manufacturer of kitchen and bath cabinet fixtures, on their search for a 1st Shift Finishing Production Manager in Moorefield WV . With 18 plants and 15 service centers across North America, they offer team members a wide variety of opportunities for career advancement and reward.
What You Will Do:
- Coordinate overall plant finishing process; ensure maintenance of all finishing equipment.
- Supervise hourly and salaried employees in assigned department(s); provide team leadership consistent with company vision, mission, CITE principles.
- Coordinate communication between assigned departments.
- Plan and coordinate department activities to support SQDC targets and meet/exceed client expectations.
- Actively participate on assigned teams and/or projects; provide feedback to providers.
- Ensure assigned department(s) perform tasks as outlined in Job Instruction Breakdowns, Quality Specifications, and Standard Operating Practices.
- Participate in identifying hiring needs; employee selection and training process
Skills Needed:
- Minimum 8 years of manufacturing experience (preference for wood finishing related experience.)
- Minimum 8 years of supervision experience (multiple departments)
- Experience in wood finishing, material flows and inventory management required; continuous improvement practices; and process analysis.
- Six Sigma training is a plus
- Microsoft Office experience in a network environment preferred.
- Track record of successful project management
- Experience in working in a team environment; strong planning/Organization & Time Management skills; demonstrated problem solving skills
- Management style must be consistent with CITE Principles
Educational & Work Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering or related discipline; extensive work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
