ROLE TITLE: FINANCIAL SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
LOCATION/HIGHLIGHTS: Houston, TX
International manufacturer seeks a Financial Systems Administrator to assist with the application planning, execution and support including maintaining, configuring and updating the system, security planning, integration, administering the change control process, providing technical support, implementing new functionality, product utilization, application standards and support best practices. Additionally,
you will be expected to serve as a business process expert supporting all aspects of the financial system. This role has the following highlights:
ESSENTIAL TASKS & DUTIES:
- Ensure the monthly close processes run timely and efficiently in OneStream
- Leads initiatives to increase overall OneStream functionality, lower costs, and evolve internal tools within quick timelines
- Administers security roles and tasks
- Work in partnership with functional organizations to drive process improvements to maximize application efficiencies
- Perform ad hoc analysis and data validation
- Administers the change control process to ensure stability of the system
- Implements standards and procedures for administration activities
- Provides first level helpdesk end-user support of OneStream
- Assists in solving production problems in a timely manner, including off hours and weekend support when necessary
- Troubleshoots database and application errors
- Responsible for data management processes & data migration in OneStream environments
- Assist in creation and maintenance of interfaces to/from other financial systems
- Serves as the application subject matter expert for daily support initiatives
- Monitors application health, runs tests to diagnose problems, and takes action to fix internal software, third party interfaces, and SQL Server database
- Maintain the metadata structures and tables across all applications
- Conduct Periodic training classes for users
- Other duties as required and assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education & Experience:
- Dual finance and IT education and/or experience mix
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year college or university
- Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in finance and accounting application support and/or implementation; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience managing a HFM, Essbase, or OneStream application preferred
- Strong VB.Net programming ability
- Moderate
- SQL script writing ability
- Advanced Excel Skills required
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems preferred
- Expertise in Hyperion SmartView and retrieve formulas a plus
