Overview
A leading organization in the private credit and alternative investment industry is seeking an experienced Financial Statement Reporting Consultant to support a strategic systems implementation and reporting transformation initiative. This individual will play a key role in validating accounting data, supporting financial statement preparation, and ensuring the accuracy of reporting throughout the migration from Wall Street Office (WSO) to a new accounting system.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Validate data integrity and reporting accuracy between WSO and the new accounting system.
- Perform reconciliations and investigate accounting discrepancies resulting from system conversion activities.
- Partner with accounting, operations, and project teams to evaluate reporting impacts during implementation.
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes.
- Analyze accounting transactions and ensure proper treatment in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Support testing, validation, and user acceptance activities related to financial reporting processes.
- Document reporting procedures, controls, and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong background in financial reporting, fund accounting, or investment accounting.
- Experience preparing financial statements and supporting accounting schedules.
- Hands-on experience with Wall Street Office (WSO) is required.
- Participation in a new accounting system implementation is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience within private credit, alternative investments, asset management, or financial services environments preferred.
