Our client, a stable Upstream company, has engaged Lucas Group to assist in identifying a Financial Reporting Senior or Manager. This role will be responsible for financial reporting and consolidation, BOD meeting materials, working with external auditors and special projects as they arise. The ideal candidate will work well independently and have a strong foundation in financial reporting.
Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, including applicable footnotes and other required sections of our financial statement reporting package
- Supervise month-end and year end close
- Lead analytical reviews for all areas of accounting and resolution of any issues identified
- Work with various levels of professionals inside and outside the organization
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals
- Document and maintain accounting policies and internal controls documentation
- Perform technical accounting research and documentation, including implementation of
new standards
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc reports
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- 4+ years accounting experience
- CPA certification
- Extensive knowledge of US GAAP
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management and communication skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience in preparation of financial accounting statements and notes
