Lucas Group is currently working with 3 firms in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area looking to add to their Financial Reporting teams. Below is a general job desctipotion but feel free to apply and I will reach out with additional info.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare complex accounting entries.
- Review journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Identify reporting and disclosure requirements and interpret if needed.
- Provide accurate financial analysis.
- Prepare complex account reconciliations and supporting financial statement schedules
- Oversee the proper usage of the chart of accounts.
- Coordinate accounting matters with other departments and locations.
- Coordinate several projects often involving multi-disciplinary teams.
- Research, analyze, and proactively seek solutions to existing/new processes.
Background/Experience Desired:
- 3+ year relevant experience.
- Solid grasp of Accounting principles and GAAP rules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly motivated individual comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Possess strong analytical skills and inherently inquisitive. Strong Excel and technical skills.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
Functional Experiences:
- Ability to handle large volumes of data
- Ability to multi task and meet deadlines in dynamic fast-paced environment
- Public accounting firm experience a plus
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office
