Our client, an Independent Oil & Gas Operator is seeking to add a new position to their accounting team, a FINANCIAL REPORTING ACCOUNTANT
You will be part of the team responsible for the Company’s financial reporting obligations and overall compliance with SEC requirements.
Job responsibilities
- Support the preparation of the annual financial statements and footnotes
- Prepare documentation and schedules to support the financial and non-financial disclosures
- Prepare PBCs for audit and work with external auditors to provide required documentation
- Assist in the preparation of the quarterly/annual financial statement disclosures and SEC requirements utilizing research tools and disclosure checklists
- Assist with preparing monthly management reporting and analysis, as needed
- Prepare schedules and other analysis for private or public offerings, as needed
- Assist in SOX policies and controls and review processes related to internal controls over financial reporting
- Support the monthly bank reconciliation process by recording cash transactions and liaising with the Sr. Accountant to ensure balanced and complete reconciliations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, advanced degree a plus
- Minimum of 2-3 years of directly related relevant work experience required
- Upstream accounting experience strongly preferred, with offshore a plus
- Active CPA license, with public accounting experience preferred
- Comfortable communicating with all levels of the organization
- Exceptional attendance, deadline driven, and strong sense of urgency
