Financial Analyst
Our client, one of America's leading construction companies, is seeking a talented Financial Analyst to assist in analyzing financial results, job profitability, and track key performance indicators. This is a highly visible role that will work directly with the VP of Finance, Controller, and Assistant Controllers. The ideal candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, BI, and knowledge of coding languages such as SQL, VBA, Python, etc.
Job Description:
• Prepare consolidated financial results
• Conduct contract profitability analysis
• Prepare and track financial KPIs
• Prepare periodic reports and financial statements.
• Consolidate and review budgets, forecasts, and projections.
• Identifies and understands key business drivers.
• Prepares various management summaries/presentations.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Develops an understanding of systems that impact financial information.
• Maintains ongoing contact with various job sites, regional offices, and departments to ensure organizational strategic goals.
• Completes various ad hoc reports.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field required
• Master’s degree and/or CPA candidate preferred
• Five or more years of relevant experience
• Construction and/or project accounting experience preferred
• Efficient with Microsoft Office including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Experience with Viewpoint or CMiC software is a plus
• Interpersonal skills; must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a group or direct group projects
• High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality
