Email Security Engineer - M365 Migration Project
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Email Security Engineer to support a large-scale Microsoft 365 migration project. This role will focus on ensuring secure and efficient email flow during tenant-to-tenant migrations, implementing best practices for email authentication, and optimizing mail routing and compliance.
Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and manage email security configurations during Microsoft 365 tenant migrations.
* Configure and validate email authentication protocols (DMARC, SPF, DKIM, ARC) to ensure secure mail delivery and prevent spoofing.
* Administer Microsoft 365 Exchange Online, including mail flow rules, connectors, and hybrid configurations.
* Troubleshoot SMTP-related issues, mail routing, and DNS configurations to maintain uninterrupted email services.
* Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards.
* Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer for ongoing support.
Must-Have Qualifications:
* Strong understanding of email authentication protocols including DMARC, SPF, DKIM, and ARC.
* Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Exchange Online administration, including mail flow rules, connectors, and hybrid configurations.
* Proven experience with large-scale email migrations between Microsoft 365 tenants.
* In-depth knowledge of SMTP protocols, mail routing, DNS configuration, and troubleshooting.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
* Experience with AWS email services (SES, WorkMail) and cloud-based SMTP relay solutions.
* Proofpoint Certified Administrator or similar email security certifications.
* Experience with email archiving and compliance solutions (Exchange Online Archive, Proofpoint Archive).
* Familiarity with retail industry compliance requirements and data protection regulations.
* Experience with Microsoft Graph API for mail-related automation.
