As a Distribution Operations Manager, you will be required to participate in the oversight for all day to day operations at the facility. This position will be responsible for managment activities in a high-volume domestic and international warehouse and distribution operation. The incumbent is responsible for daily planning and execution of activities in a multi-shift operation and must provide leadership and operational expertise to the team. This role is part of the leadership team of the operation and as such will serve as a subject matter expert for the facility. This will include extensive participation in both administrative and execution responsibilities for EHS, DOT route oversight and other various distribution/warehousing operations.
Responsibilities
- Performing oversight of Environmental, Health and Safety activities for the facility
- Manage inbound and outbound operations, including the direct supervision and resource allocation of employees
- Develop and enforce standards of warehousing operations
- Train and develop employees
- Drive continuous improvement activities using Lean manufacturing techniques
- Define, prepare, and analyze reports regarding operational efficiencies
- Driving daily operations in the picking, inventory, and delivery activities for direct market
- Driving for state of art facility and performance
What You’ll Need
- BA/BS in Supply Chain/Logistics, General Business, Engineering
- General knowledge of warehousing and distribution
- Domestic and International shipping Experience
- Experience in using WMS/SAP systems
- Extensive experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Strong work history
- Self-motivator, positive attitude, and team player
- High pick/high volume facilities experience
- High level of knowledge of safe work practices; OSHA, DOT and Environmental regulation
- Ability to lift 70 lbs and be in good physical health
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Bilingual a plus
