Title: Directory Services Engineer (LDAP/Radiant Logic)

We have partnered with our client in their search for a Directory Services Engineer. The Directory Services Engineer designs, deploys, and tunes enterprise directory services across on-premises hardware and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Partnering with client subject matter experts (SMEs), security, and application teams, the role configures replication and data synchronization, integrates with upstream/downstream systems, and implements robust logging and monitoring. It also configures Radiant Logic components coordinated by Apache ZooKeeper to enable high availability and performance testing. Success is measured by reliable replication, performant clusters, accurate data imports, and auditable, compliant data exchanges.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy multiple directory servers on physical hardware and in AWS, enabling replication and real-time data synchronization
- Configure and tune Radiant Logic components and the associated Apache ZooKeeper ensemble to support cluster coordination, high availability, and performance testing
- Implement and optimize centralized logging for directory and integration components, including log rotation, retention, and alerting
- Build and run repeatable data import jobs from flat files (e.g., CSV/TSV) with validation, error handling, and reconciliation
- Integrate directory services with upstream and downstream systems to support bidirectional data push/pull using connectors and APIs
- Create and maintain runbooks, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures for operations and disaster recovery
- Harden directory platforms with role-based access controls and secure configurations aligned to data privacy requirements
- Collaborate with SMEs, security, and application teams to plan releases, execute performance tests, and resolve issues
Skills Required
- Deep understanding of LDAP concepts, schema design, replication models, and access controls
- Experience administering directory services across on-premises and AWS environments
- Hands-on with Radiant Logic platform and Apache ZooKeeper deployment and tuning
- Strong SQL for data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL), query optimization, and flat-file imports
- Familiarity with Oracle, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server
- Proficiency connecting directory services to external systems via connectors, APIs, and scheduled jobs for synchronization
- Experience implementing centralized logging/monitoring and troubleshooting using log analysis tools
- Understanding of data privacy and security requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, version control, and change management for infrastructure configuration
- Clear written and verbal communication to document procedures and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Education & Work Experience
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience
- Professional experience administering directory services or related data platforms in production environments
- Prior experience as a Database Developer or in a similar role
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS or directory technologies) are a plus
