Director of Finance Operations (Billing Operations)
Location: Onsite - Portland, OR
We're seeking a Director of Finance Operations (interim-to-hire) for an IT Managed Service Provider. This role oversees a distributed team and works daily with the CFO and the incoming VP of Operations.
Rate: $60-$70/hr W2 + benefits + PTO
What You'll Do
- Lead end?to?end billing operations for 700+ customers
- Manage Billing Analysts, Ops Analysts, and Admin staff across multiple locations
- Improve manual billing and operational processes; design scalable workflows
- Drive reporting, analytics, and insights using Excel, PowerBI, and ERP tools
- Collaborate deeply with Finance, Operations, IT, and vendors
- Implement interim process solutions while new technologies are evaluated and budgeted
- Balance client needs with financial accuracy, margin, and operational efficiency
Must?Haves
- Experience in IT MSP or SaaS billing operations
- Proven leadership running a billing operation
- Advanced Excel skills; PowerBI or similar BI tools
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar ERP
- Strong process orientation; ability to optimize manual workflows
- Comfortable working onsite daily
- Ability to travel as needed
- AutoTask experience a plus
