We have been engaged by a $45M professional services company looking to add a Director of Finance to their team. This role will be over a $25M business unit, and will oversee all of the financial and accounting operations.
Essential Functions include the following, other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
- Maintain live financial forecast; provide regular updates to senior management
- Actively engage account teams to remain informed of changes to scope or timing of services that will impact the financial forecast
- Compile monthly revenue by job or project and review with management
- Perform detailed monthly review of financial results; work with business leaders to complete comprehensive variance analysis versus forecast
- Review client program budget proposals
- Collaborate with account teams to compile monthly financial forecasts / spend trackers for submission to clients
- Serve as primary client liaison for financial related inquiries (forecast/projected spend, invoicing and other related inquiries)
- Manage annual budgeting process
- Prepare historical and pro forma financial reports
- Provide account teams and management with timely reviews of financial status of client projects and progress
- Develop KPIs and related scorecards for labor profitability and efficiency; complete job profitability audits and report findings to management
- Ad hoc reporting and project management (both independent and with interdepartmental collaboration)
- Backs up head of finance department with consolidated reporting and debt compliance
- Develop SOP’s as needed; identify ways to do things more efficiently; continuous improvement
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in finance or accounting; and 6 to 10 years related experience; CPA a plus, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
