Our oil & gas client in the Westchase area is looking for a Director of Accounting. This organization offers a very generous compensation and benefits package. Their ideal candidate is a Big 4 Manager or Senior Manager ready to transition into industry or someone who started their career in Big 4 and has already transitioned into a similar industry role.
DIRECTOR OF ACCOUNTING RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accruals and related accounting activities.
- Timely and accurate recognition for centralized accounting areas such as prepayments, debt, equity, cash reconciliations and other activities.
- Managing and executing the accounting activities associated with compensation accounting, payroll administration and overall calculations and governance of accounting of costs associated with various incentive compensation plans and awards.
- Oversee fixed assets.
- Lease accounting.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors.
- Perform SOX-compliant internal controls related to accountabilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
DIRECTOR OF ACCOUNTING REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and CPA required.
- 6+ years’ experience which includes at least 3 years’ with a Big 4 or other national CPA firm.
- Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory / leadership experience required.
