Director of Accounting (Closed)

Our client a quickly growing and a well-funded, packaging start-up in Playa Vista that is looking for a Director of Accounting to partner with the VP of Finance to build their Accounting Department and take the company Public.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the general ledger
• Prepare company for a Canadian and US Audit
• Responsible for all transactional accounting including accounts payable and receivable
• Perform monthly financial close and prepare consolidated and individual entity core financial statements: income statements, balance sheets, statements of cash flows
• Create and impletion of accounting polices and procedures
• Perform monthly financial consolidation of multiple entities
• Prepare company for IPO

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance
• Active CPA highly Preferred
• 6+ years professional experience
• Knowledge of both GAAP and IFRS
• Previous IPO experience
• Experience with a Canadian Public Company
