Lucas Group has partnered with a globally admired brand on their search for an accomplished Director Logistics & Planning to lead the team in streamlining their global logistics network.
In this role you will:
Lead a global team of 100 team members with 4 direct reports
Create a strategy to streamline our logistics and distribution
Lead the team to work more effectively with 3PL’s and make out-sourcing and in-sourcing decisions
Manage 3PL’s performance and drive continuous improvement
Establish an S&OP process
Determine KPI’s to improve efficiencies in planning and cost control
Influence and train existing team to enhance demand planning process and inventory planning
Hold internal and external logistics partners accountable to expectations
Partner with sourcing to make decisions on inbound/outbound models
Manage end to end distribution of goods to include: perishables, consumables, equipment
Qualifications:
10+ years of senior management global planning and logistics experience
8+ years leading teams
Ability to work collaboratively and openly with cross-functional business partners
Experience leading implementing complex change
Experience in creating a lean supply chain using analytical methods
Streamline process through insource/outsource decisions
Ability to navigate and work in an ambiguous environment
Proven ability to create strategic supplier partnerships
Strong analytical skills
Certification in CPM, CPIM, APICS, and/or Lean SixSigma preferred
Exceptional computer literacy including proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication skills and strong process management capabilities necessary
Ability to prioritize and manage a variety of complex projects
Results orientated with a strong focus on the customer (both internal and external)
