The Lucas Group is searching for a talented and enthusiastic Director, Demand Generation to add as a key member of our client’s marketing team Boston. Our client helps brands make smarter creative and media investments through its cloud-based management platform that produces, manages, tests, and optimizes digital advertising.

The Director, Demand Generation will lead the charge to optimize the performance of the website, ads, media buys, and emails to help us fuel our client’s SaaS business with more qualified leads, organic traffic, and engaged visitors globally. You’ll join our marketing team, working across channels and across the company - including product marketing and sales leads.

The Director, Demand Generation will be responsible for website optimization, SEO, SEM, paid display, paid reporting, analysis, insights, and recommendations for improving user experience and conversion rates via testing and optimization. This is a key role on our newly revamped marketing team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategize and execute end-to-end campaigns that make an impact at different stages of the sales cycle
  • Drive brand awareness, engagement, lead generation, closed business, and retention
  • Lead strategy and manage development partners for website and landing page development and optimizations; SEO, UX, running experiments, and conversion optimization tests
  • Plan, present, and execute digital marketing programs (B2B) across multiple channels with extensive experience in email marketing and paid media buying on channels like LinkedIn, Facebook, SEM, and display advertising
  • Measure and report performance of website and all digital marketing campaigns
  • Identify trends, insights, and key areas for optimization
  • Develop trigger-based and nurture email tracks that feed back into the digital experience and vice-versa using Pardot, list segmentation tactics
  • Coordinate with content marketing manager and designer to deploy company newsletters and emails, and develop comprehensive email testing plan to drive optimal results
  • Advise internal stakeholders on nurture strategies, email best practices, and landing page optimization
  • Manage relationships with vendors and partners, such as Google, G2 Crowd, Capterra, publishers, etc. to maximize their value

REQUIREMENTS

· BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, PR, or Journalism is required

  • 7+ years of experience in demand generation, digital marketing or paid media for a B2B enterprise SaaS company (with longer sales cycles) is required
  • Experience with marketing automation, CRM, and analytic platforms – Pardot, Salesforce, and Google Analytics experience is required
  • Deep experience with digital channels, including email, Google AdWords (Search and Display), and Paid Social (LinkedIn and Twitter)
  • Experience with website and landing page best practices, including SEO, UX, and testing / optimization methodologies to maximize conversions
  • Nimble and agile team player with ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment where direction and goals can pivot quickly to meet business objectives
  • Great communication skills
  • Quantitative and data-driven thinking to marketing ideation, planning, and execution
  • Relevant project management experience
  • Hands-on experience with CMS (preferably WordPress)
