POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Digital Transformation Consultant - R&D IT will lead the change management, from an IT organization perspective (vs. an overall organization perspective), following a digital transformation initiative to transition from legacy technology systems and processes to more automated systems engineering processes. The Consultant will standardize existing diverse approaches across multiple business lines, guiding internal IT users through the change process.
The role includes the execution of change management tasks based on considerations such as data migrations across systems, cutover from old to new systems, adoption and training requirements, and other potential risks to address proactively and ensure a seamless transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Change Management: Develop and execute tailored change management strategies for IT organizations, guiding internal users through the transition to automated systems engineering processes.
- Standardization: Harmonize R&D processes across various business lines, ensuring consistent practices and workflows.
- Training & Support: Identify and develop training programs to support the transition, ensuring users are well-prepared to adopt new systems.
- Data Migration: Plan and execute seamless data migration from legacy systems to new systems, minimizing disruptions and ensuring continuity.
- Integration: Oversee the integration of new systems and processes, ensuring smooth transitions while introducing new technologies.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks, checkpoints, and develop strategies to address them.
- Retirement & Cutover: Manage the retirement of old technology and the cutover to new technology, ensuring a smooth transition without disruptions.
MUST HAVES:
- Extensive experience in the medical devices industry, with a deep understanding of R&D processes.
- Proven track record in leading change management for R&D IT organizations through major systems implementations and process changes.
- Blueprint and Roadmap Development: Ability to create comprehensive blueprints and roadmaps for successful integration projects.
- Strong capability in identifying risks, checkpoints, and developing mitigation strategies.
