The Lucas Group is searching for a talented and enthusiastic Digital Brand Strategist to add as a key member of our client’s Sales team in New York, NY. Our client owns and operates the leading celebrity and entertainment media brands in the country.
The Digital Brand Strategist will work to create strategic programs based on client briefs, data, and insights, with the goal of generating revenue for the larger Sales team. The Digital Brand Strategist will have the opportunity to work cross functionally and collaborate with both pre and post sales teams including Sales, Account Management, Research, and Marketing on a daily basis. The ideal Digital Brand Strategist candidate will have exceptional storytelling skills with an ability to execute strategic proposals for advertisers across entertainment, fashion, beauty, and lifestyle categories.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work hand-in-hand with marketing, account management, research/revenue operations, and greater sales team to create innovative and strategic proposals and presentations
- Own the strategic portion of the RFP process: (i.e. brainstorm and ideate unique strategies catering to client goals, build compelling client presentations, manage both internal and external communication related to strategy, and manage RFP delivery calendars)
- Conduct competitive brand marketing research and utilize measurement tools to create audience insights and add relevant data to proposals on a day-to-day basis
- Build proactive pitch materials and marketing materials including client one-sheets, audience research, general presentations, etc.
- Develop new sales marketing collateral using industry, marketing, and third-party research to measure audience impact and tell the magazine’s story
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field is required
- 2+ years of marketing or planning experience
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills; Must be able to pitch strategic ideas effectively
- Ability to communicate, monitor insights, and use data to enhance marketing offerings
- Experience building client presentations (design experience a plus)
- A deep understanding of the digital and social media landscape
- Knowledge of the client's digital publications and an interest in the entertainment/celebrity/pop culture space
- Direct experience working with RFPs and conducting data research
- Deep insight into entrainment and pop culture trends
