DevOps Lead | Contract | Limerick | Hybrid

We are seeking, on behalf of our global Life Sciences client, an experienced DevOps Lead to define and drive DevOps strategy across a large-scale software engineering environment.

Initially supporting a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) programme, this role extends beyond a single platform and will play a key part in shaping engineering practices, CI/CD pipelines and software delivery across the wider organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to establish modern DevOps capability within a complex, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement DevOps strategy and engineering best practices.
• Design, build and optimise CI/CD pipelines.
• Own release management, environment strategy and deployment processes.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.
• Drive automation, monitoring and operational resilience.
• Partner closely with software engineering, QA and architecture teams.
• Champion continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle.

Skills & Experience

We're interested in candidates with experience in several of the following:

• DevOps leadership within enterprise software environments.
• Strong software engineering background.
• Azure DevOps, Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Terraform, Ansible or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Python, PowerShell or Bash scripting.
• CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Release management and environment management.
• Experience within regulated industries is advantageous but not essential.

Contract Details

• Initial 6-month contract with strong extension potential.
• Predominantly onsite in Limerick.
• Competitive hourly rate.
