Data Strategy Lead

Location: Remote (preference for Indianapolis)
Contract: 3-6 months, target start between now and early March
Overview:
A global pharmaceutical/biotech organization is seeking a Data Strategy Leader to step in during a leave of absence. This role serves as the strategic bridge between IT, Finance, Supply Chain, and Data teams, focusing on data architecture and enterprise dataset management-not hands-on coding.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional alignment across IT, Finance, Supply Chain, and Data.
• Oversee SAP datasets and guide data strategy/architecture.
• Support onboarding of new data sources and APIs.
• Partner with junior engineers who handle execution.
• Provide clarity in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.

Required Experience:

• Senior Manager-level background in data strategy or data architecture.
• Strong business and technical fluency; able to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with SAP, AWS, Power BI, and Fabric.
• Understanding of API/data onboarding processes.
• Pharma/biotech experience strongly preferred.
• Must work EST hours; onsite required only if based in Indianapolis.
