We have partnered with our client in their search for a Data Engineer on a 12 month day rate basis.
2 days a week onsite in the South of the country.
This person is to design, build, and deploy scalable data engineering solutions that enable meaningful business insights across underwriting, risk, and operations.
This individual will join an established agile squad with active delivery commitments focused on moving, ingesting, and provisioning data from multiple internal and external sources. The role requires strong technical capability combined with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders to translate real-world requirements into robust data solutions.
Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL processes using Informatica Cloud and SSIS
Ingest and provision data from:
SQL databases (SQL-to-SQL environments)
External sources including CSV files and APIs
Develop and optimise data pipelines into Snowflake
Utilise AWS S3 storage to create centralised, reusable datasets
Ensure data integrity, quality, and performance across environments
Write and maintain advanced MS SQL queries
Develop stored procedures, views, and functions
Optimise and refactor legacy code in line with evolving business requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve performance and data quality issues
Design and build high-quality data sets and data products
Develop dashboards and reports using Tableau and/or Power BI
Validate outputs to ensure accuracy and alignment with business expectations
Work directly with product owners, underwriters, business users, data scientists, and fellow engineers
Participate actively in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
Translate business requirements into technical data solutions
