We have partnered with our client in their search for a Data Architect. 

The Data Architect is responsible for visualizing and designing a Master Data Management solution for the Health Care Market. Duties would involve defining reference architecture, translating business requirements into technical specifications, and planning the solution to include data assets, data streams, ETL and storage and alignment with client and market needs.
Responsibilities: 

  • Support discovery work by interacting with clients to understand and document their business needs; translate those needs into data solution requirements. 
  • Proactively engage across clients, internal business units, engineering, and third-party stakeholders to ensure that the business investment delivers a cost-effective and appropriate solution for the organization and our clients. 
  • Help design products and systems; support the development of procedures for using said products and systems. 
  • Work with Solution Architects to drive the definition of the data solution design, mapping business and technical requirements to define products and services that meets both business and operational expectations. 
  • Own and manage product data models, data designs, and artifacts; provide guidance and consultancy on best practice and standards for data translation, interpretation, and delivery to best meet client needs. 
  • Actively lead full project lifecycles from early shaping of high-level estimates and delivery plans through to active governance of the solution as it is developed and built in later phases. 
  • Capture and manage risks, issues, and assumptions identified through the lifecycle of a project, articulating the financial and other impacts associated with these concerns. 
  • Maintain an active awareness of emerging trends and developments in data design, architecture, and enterprise technologies that could impact or benefit our business and our customers. 
  • Participate in planning and strategy sessions, offering insights based on business architecture principles to support the development of the company’s strategic roadmap. 
  • Ensure all proposed product solutions and strategies are aligned with the organization’s goals, values, and overall strategic direction. 
Competencies: 
  • A good understanding of system design, data analytics, and cloud based systems
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills 
  • Extensive knowledge of business architecture methodologies and frameworks 
  • Proficiency in business process and capability modeling 
  • Experience working in a scaled Agile environment, with an understanding of a variety of methodologies including Kanban and Scrum 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences 
  • Motivation and professional drive and an ability to manage multiple high-priority assignments simultaneously 
  • Ability to engage developers to understand technology constraints 
  • Understands the relevant technology architecture 
  • Can ask effective questions and collect facts from multiple sources in order to solve problems 
  • Can effectively identify and analyze problems and propose solutions 
  • Effectively manages day-to-day issues and problems without intervention 
Requirements:
 
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in data architecture, data analysis, or data management 
  • Strong proficiency working with large complex data sets
  • Experience in data governance, data quality, and metadata management 
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, etc.) 
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry; experience in payer or pharmacy markets preferred  
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in a technical subject (Computer Science or Engineering discipline) is preferred, but not essential.
