We are partnering with our client to hire a Data Analyst (mid-senior level) to support a payments and regulatory change programme within the financial services sector.

The Role

This role focuses on analysing payments, transaction, SCA and fraud data to support regulatory delivery, risk management and decision‑making. You'll work closely with fraud, risk, compliance and product teams, producing insight that supports regulatory readiness rather than standalone reporting.

This position suits a Data Analyst with strong technical capability and experience working with banking or payments data in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analysing payments, transaction and authentication data
  • Supporting regulatory and compliance reporting requirements
  • Working with fraud and risk teams to identify trends and issues
  • Providing actionable insights to inform delivery and controls
  • Validating data quality, lineage and consistency

Skills & Experience Required

Must‑Have Skills

  • Strong SQL capability
  • Experience working with large transactional datasets
  • Data analysis within financial services or regulated environments

Experience With:

  • Payments or transaction data
  • Fraud, SCA or risk‑related datasets
  • Supporting regulatory, audit or compliance initiatives

Tools & Concepts

  • SQL‑based databases
  • Data quality and reconciliation
  • KPI and trend analysis
  • Data governance and controls (working knowledge)

Education & Background

  • 5-7 years' experience in a Data Analyst or similar role
