Knowledge of procedures and techniques used in cyber investigations
Experience conducting cyber reconnaissance analysis support to investigations
Ability to conduct research and analysis using open source information, national and international databases, and corporate record filings to match to investigative findings and summarize data into a finished professional product
Foreign language skills in Russian, Romanian, and Arabic have proven helpful in supporting investigative efforts and are preferred but are not required.
Conduct cyber forensics, to include the acquisition, chain of custody, and analysis of electronic evidence from computers, mobile devices, and other digital storage media.
The analyst will provide targeting support to further criminal investigations by disseminating operational/investigative leads; sharing financial, open-source, and Darknet data; and writing targeting packages.
The analyst will synthesize materials across a broad spectrum of member agency data sets and across a broad spectrum of categories such as darknet marketplaces, encrypted messaging communications, website exploitation, financial transactions, travel, assets, and business information to develop clear reports.
The analyst will further enhance these reports through visual displays that diagram relational associations of varying data points and nexuses, creating strategic data connections that assist in deductive reasoning for effective member agency partnership
