CTO
An Exciting On-Demand mobile platform, start-up organization have just received a major round of funding. With an existing presence in Florida, California, Georgia and New Jersey, they are now expanding their presence on the East Coast including in IT. This company have grown 125 percent in the past year and are operating in a $3bn market in the USA so the scope to continue to grow is enormous!
They are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of the business. You will drive the technical vision of this hugely exciting startup organization and be the face of numerous projects in the tech space. You will communicate with employees, stakeholders and customers to ensure our company’s technologies are used appropriately.
Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. It is expected that you are well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts. If you are also an excellent communicator and public speaker, we’d like to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
- Be a technical thought leader and bring expertise to determine build vs buy strategies around I.T
- Lead technical teams including offshore team.
- Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage
- Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance
- Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors
- Establishing architecture for end-to-end systems, mobile, implementation and client-side integrations
- Identifying and implementing best practices and coding standards
- Assessing, reviewing and ensuring excellent design, usability and code quality
- Being up to date with latest technology frameworks and know how to utilize them in product development
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CTO or similar tech leadership role
- Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy
- Understanding of budgets and business-planning
- Proven ability to present to and interact with Investors, Board Members and internal staff globally
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable with public speaking
- Must have experience with mobile platform
- On-demand experience hugely beneficial
