The Lucas Group is searching for an experienced and talented VP Sales, Credit Union Vertical to add as a key member of our client’s team headquartered in Atlanta. The VP Sales, Credit Union Vertical for our client’s Mid-Tier Finance Vertical is responsible for transforming, leading, planning, directing, and coordinating the sales activities for the Credit Union sales team. The VP Sales, Credit Union Vertical will head our client’s sales team in North America.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales: Responsible for primary direct customer/client contact to acquire new business or develop existing business and/or accounts.
- Closing sales of products and/or services to meet individual/team quotas and the organization’s business objectives.
- Operates as the primary point of contact to the customer or partner for the purpose of the sale by delivering sales presentations, developing bids, responding to proposals and negotiating final terms and contracts.
- Sales Growth Strategy: Partnering with senior leaders within the Mid-Tier Finance vertical and across the channels to develop a short- and long-term sales strategy to attain or exceed 100% of assigned sales quota within required product mix.
- Maniacal Focus on Execution: Driving new and significant revenue growth by creating strategic and tactical plans to uncover and close new business opportunities for the company.
- Account Management: Client-facing, sales role responsible for managing the overall relationship, revenue growth and engagement within an established account or group of accounts
- Builds relationships with key decision makers across the account(s) and functions as a primary point of contact, orchestrating resources across the enterprise to drive sales and revenue growth across the full Company portfolio of solutions, products and services.
- Drive Channel Penetration: Build mutually beneficial relationships with key channels stakeholders to establish new opportunities leading to new clients and client prospects.
- Translate Corporate Strategy into Executable Objectives: Turn company vision into a compelling message that motivates and empowers our employees to connect with clients and bring value to their businesses.
- Leadership: Lead a high-performing, efficient sales organization; Find and grow top talent enabling successful execution against organizational goals
- Change Leadership: Drive significant change within the team in support of sales transformation, keeping team engaged and productive.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree required; Masters degree strongly preferred
- Deep credit union experience. Must be recognized within the industry as an expert.
- 10+ years’ experience in strategic sales leadership role within the credit union, FinTech or financial industry and B2B Sales in technology and data and analytics business environments
- 5+ years’ experience in building and managing teams of 10+ individuals, including strong change leadership skills - ability to drive significant change while keeping team members engaged and productive
- Understanding of the regulatory/compliance environment and the competitive landscape
- Proven track record of successfully positioning and selling technology and data and analytic services
- Experience working with sales organization stakeholders, including leadership, quota carriers, sales operations, and business consultants
- Consultative sales skills which demonstrate effective questioning techniques, insight into problems and needs of clients/prospects and development of viable solutions
- Ability to create an initial and lasting positive impression and relationship with Company prospects and clients
- Travel: As needed (approximately 35% - 55% to customer, prospect and partner meetings, team meetings, and conferences).
