Lucas Group has partner with a dynamic automotive client in Central Alabama that has an immediate need of Controls Engineer for a long term project.
This is a 6 month plus contract
Support and assist maintenance engineering with production improvement and support needs including improved equipment availability and uptime, maintenance training and continuous improvement. Good communication skills with our client’s personnel to provide transparency.
- Assist Maintenance with production breakdowns. Assist maintenance, maintenance engineering and process engineering with continuous improvement activities including:
- Breakdown countermeasures
- Programming tasks (HMI, PLC, Networks etc)
- Maintenance training (Controls, HMI, Networks etc)
- Obsolescence support (hardware, software and firmware)
- Communications – Proper communications and meetings, use of email and shift report logs
- Evaluations of electrical software, HMI and networks
- Production Analysis – reduction of equipment faults
- Cycle time improvements through program changes
- Control room programming
Skills Needed:
- Preferred 2 years industrial degree in electrical, electronics or computer technology
- 5+ years in large project implementation or support
- 5+ years experience with Siemens PLC.
- Must be proficient with Siemens S7 ControlLogix, RSLinx, Profinet, FactoryTalk)
