Lucas Group has partnered with a dynamic automotive client in South Carolina that has an immediate need of a Controls Engineer for a long-term project.
This is a 3 month plus contract – (Apartment is available for those who live outside of the area)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering, or Computer Science or Experience.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a Controls Engineer, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
- Must be able to demonstrate programming experience with Siemens PLC, advanced TIA Certification a plus.
- Experience commissioning machines including, IO Checkout, Ethernet IP device setup, Machine Safety Setup and testing.
- Strong Experience and knowledge of Machine Safety design and requirements. (Robot safeties, operator safeties, experience with programming various safety PLCs and device such as area scanners.)
- Ability to read electrical prints and thorough understanding of controls and design concepts.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Siemens S7 / TIA Portal / Win CC.
- Experience with Automotive BIW Systems.
Pending Background Check and Drug Screen (5 panel hair test required).
