Lucas Group has partnered with a Commercial Real Estate client looking for a Controller level candidate on a contract-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the leadership of the accounting department and will assist leadership for key economic decisions.
Location: South East Houston
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits and annual budgets.
- Supervise the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable department
- Ensure tax compliance and timely income tax return filings
- Oversee the key accounting areas such as fixed assets, prepaids, etc.
- Lead the accounting close and financial statement preparation process
- Ensure internal controls are in place and the company is following guidelines
- Ad hoc reporting as well as special projects as required
Requirements:**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
- 10+ years of accounting experience
- 3+ years of management experience
Additional experience preferred:
- Background in Public Accounting
- CPA
- RentalMan experience
