About the Opportunity

Join a rapidly growing, family-owned North Texas organization as an Interim Controller, partnering directly with the CFO during a period of significant expansion. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role for a seasoned consultant who can quickly step in, take ownership of accounting operations, and make an immediate impact without extensive onboarding.

You'll inherit a stable environment, lead a lean accounting team, and help support a business that has doubled in size and is positioned for continued growth. The engagement is expected to be full-time initially, with potential for ongoing project-based or fractional consulting work after the permanent Controller is hired.

Must-Haves

• Proven experience serving as a Controller or Interim Controller in a small-to-mid-sized company environment.
• Hands-on ownership of:
• Month-end close and financial reporting
• AP, AR, collections, billing, and cash flow management
• Journal entry review and general ledger management
• Sales tax compliance
• Vendor onboarding and credit reviews
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and integrate into a lean, entrepreneurial team.
• Experience managing accounting operations in QuickBooks Online.
• Strong understanding of accounting processes, controls, and operational finance.

Nice-to-Haves

• Cost accounting experience, particularly within manufacturing, construction, building materials, or related industries.
• Experience with AP automation tools (e.g., Stampli) and operational systems integrations.
• Background supporting high-growth organizations.
• CPA preferred but not required.
