Controller

We have partnered with our client on the NW side of Houston in their search for a Controller. This is a full-time, contract position that's slated to last approximately 3+ months, with the possibility of conversion. This is a hybrid-remote role, and all candidates must live in the Houston, TX area for consideration. 

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting team to ensure close is done within 3-5 days and maintain that schedule. 
• Inventory, job costing, lease accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Accounting clean-up
• ERP system implementation - QuickBooks Enterprise & Oracle.

Skills Required

• CPA certification required
• Must be able to work effectively in a unstructured environment.
• Strong GAAP knowledge required.
• Job costing, inventory, lease accounting, and revenue recognition experience required.
• Previous private equity experience preferred.
• Experience managing and mentoring teams required.
