Ensures system of accounts balances and ties out including all subledgers
Manages a team of Corporate Accountants, Accounts Payable specialists, and Treasurer
Responsibility for providing the organization and executive management with appropriate financial and operating information, as necessary.
Leads monthly close of the company’s books and records and furnishes internal reports, including variance analyses and/or bridges explaining change in financials to executive management
Responsible for tax planning and compliance with all federal, state, and local, corporate, payroll, sales & use, and other applicable taxes
Lead financial and tax audit processes by external auditors for the entire company
Supports the preparation of budget and financial forecasts, and institutes and maintains other planning and control procedures
Evaluates and recommends insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities
Understand and maintain bonding and contract compliance
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Degree in Accounting and CPA
Experience in Percentage-of-Completion / Construction Accounting
A minimum of 8 years' experience ideally gained through increasingly responsible management positions within Finance.
A minimum of 2 years' recent experience as a Controller with responsibility for assigned operating units, accounts, budgeting, cost accounting, percentage completion, credit and collections, and finance
Knowledge of Acumatica and Acumatiscan a plus
