We have been engaged by a $30M PE owned company in Atlanta looking to bring on a Controller. The Controller is primarily responsible for all the day-to-day accounting operations including closing the books, billing, collections, budget management, and investor/financial reporting. This is a great opportunity to be in a role with the ability to have full ownership of the accounting operations.
Responsibilities include:
Manage all accounting operations including billing, collections, treasury, A/R, A/P, G/L, payroll, tax filings and other accounting functions.
Manage the monthly close process, including accruals, deferred revenue, cost of sales, reconciliations and journal entries.
Prepare monthly financial reporting package including balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, monthly KPI's and MD&A.
Issue timely and accurate monthly financial reports to leadership team and Board of Directors.
Ensure effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and report variances.
Develop and document businesses processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Prepare audit schedules for financial statement audits and coordinate with external auditors.
Research technical accounting issues as needed.
Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.
Analyze business trends and identify opportunities to improve business performance and maximize cash flow.
Review contracts for proper pricing, expensing, billing and revenue recognition treatment.
