One of our clients is currently experiencing a record setting revenue year and is in need of a Controller to oversee all of their North American operations! They own a large market share in regards to their product and are well respected in the industry. This is an excellent opportunity to join this organization and make an immediate impact!

This individual will also be tasked with overseeing the work of a fairly large team; including those located at other locations. The leadership/mentorship skills needed here are truly just as important as the technical skills.

Controller

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the month-end close process for a large division.
  • Prepare in-depth analysis for month, quarter, and year end planning.
  • Lead the Internal Reporting function as needed; including reviewing the current processes and procedures upon hire.
  • Other responsibilities will include fixed assets, inventory, and the annual budgeting/forecasting.
  • Monitor the internal controls that are in place, as well as recommendations for ways to improve and become more efficient.
  • Assist on any upgrades to their ERP system; including new implementations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional products across many different departments within the company.
  • Manage the audit/tax work communications that are needed throughout the year.

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA/CPA a plus.
  • 10-15+ years of progressive experience; preferably with 5+ in a Controller seat.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP.
  • Manufacturing/Distribution industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership qualities, but also the ability to act independently while working on strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to interact with the entire internal staff, as well as external support.
  • Travel up to 25%; including international when needed.
